My cup is my favorite clay piece. I love how you can drink out of it as well. I learned how to make a cup shape by rolling the cup around on the flatten piece of clay and then cutting it out . I also learned how to make a good and usable handle. I wanted to make my cup feel happy and have a happy and cheerful look. The hearts I added to the outside of it makes that it feel happy.  The colors I chose also make me feel happy. I wanted the outside to be maroon, but it didn't show up. I

I used the I Pad for this drawing of spooky trees. At first it was a little difficult but then I got the hang of it when I got further through the drawing. I first made different layers of trees. The farthest away layer of trees is the lightest. That layer of trees is made of a navy with white over it to make it lighter. The sky behind it is a orange, red, and yellow combination. The color that mostly makes up the sky is orange. The next layer of trees is a little darker than the last and that is made of navy, darker blue, and a little bit of black. The trees in the closest layer is the darkest and has a lot of dark blue and black. The layer closest has the trees bigger than the ones in the far back.

I have learned a lot in art this semester. I first learned how to draw things to perspective, tessellations, new painting techniques, drawing techniques, how to make things with clay, and lots more. My favorite thing we did this semester was drawing faces. Ever since I was little I would draw faces. Now I know how to draw them better. I used to always mess up the lips but now I am able to do this well. My eyes used to always be too far apart or too close together, however now there not. My finished drawing is more realistic now. My biggest success in this class is learning how to draw faces. I think my best piece that I drew is the painted face. What surprised me is how much we got through and learned. We did everything from tessellations to clay and it was fun doing all different types of art so it wouldn't get boring. I will use my new art skills when doing sketches at home. Now I can draw better and then display them in my room because there so good. I may take another art class, although I am unsure which one yet.

Paragraph-

I like the way my box turned out overall. I like the yellow inside, however the outside was painted maroon but the color didn't show up. The heart inside was supposed to be in maroon as well. Also there was a crack on one of the corners because I must not have done the 45 degree angle right. The sides were different thicknesses so I wish I had gone back and made it all the same. On the bottom of my box I am happy the writing turned out legible.
