I made my drawing using an IPad and my finger. I used the pencil tool to do the middle heart for all the bendy lines, designs, and circles. I used the airbrush tool for the more wide and faint colors on the outside of the heart. I used the paint brush tool for the outside of the heart as well. I have layers of colors in the middle heart and those colors consist of purple, and blues, which are my favorite color. I used a 10 % occupancy for the brushes. In addition, I used the zoom feature to draw the heart in more detail. I also had to use the eraser when I messed up.

I made a clay box. First,I rolled out my clay to be flat like a pancake. Then cut out each side. At first my sides were too small but then I made them bigger so I could add designs to them. My designs were flowers and then on the inside I wrote I'm still into you, which is the name of my favorite song. To connect the sides I scored my sides after I added 45 degree angle and them put slit on them to make sure they don't break apart while being fired. After I smoothed the whole box to the best I could. The Box is the shape of a rectangle. So two of the sides are around the same width and the other two are bigger and also the same width. The box has all the same height so it pretty smooth and not all bumpy.

Formative Paragraph-
I learned how to sculpt and work with clay while doing this project. I had not worked with clay before so this was  a new experience for me. I learned that scoring and slit helps the the clay stick together. Without scoring or slit the clay would break apart in the kilm. Also, I didn't know that clay shrunk when it was in the kilm, I thought it stayed the same size the whole time.

The techniques I used to have the extra pieces of clay, for the eyes, ears, tails, and whiskers worked. The slit worked and nothing went wrong. It didnt fall apart while in the kilm. The other difference between the wet and fired box is that the fired box is smaller, which was expected.

My clay box turned out the way it did for many reasons. First, my clay wasn't too thin or thick. It was a good thickness. In addition, I tried to add texture to the outside in order to make my box look more cat like, the texture didn't turn out as I wanted though. I added eyes, whiskers, tail, and ears to make my box more 3D. In order for those 3D objects to stay on I slit both the box and the part that is to go on. Without doing this process my extra pieces would have fallen off.
